What is a One-Visit Crown?

At the DuCoin Center for Advanced Dentistry, Dr. Francis DuCoin uses advanced digital technology to create your final crown while you are here.

Instead of messy traditional impressions, we use a comfortable digital iTero scanner to create a precise 3D image of your tooth. Dr. DuCoin then personally designs your custom crown on a specialized computer system to fit your exact needs.

That design is sent to our state-of-the-art i.o. Milling Machine, which fabricates your crown from a solid block of zirconia — an extremely strong, beautiful ceramic material similar in durability to the material used for artificial diamonds. Unlike many traditional porcelain crowns, zirconia crowns are highly resistant to chipping and breaking.

Once completed, your crown is bonded into place the very same day.
